The overall purpose for this expenditure ol'S150,000 is to <br />protect C'olorado's compact apportionment in the process. This will he done in coupcratwn with the <br />f)epartmcnts of lntertor and State, the Bureau of Reclamation, the II3WC, the Colorado River Rasin States <br />and major water and power users. Che geographic focus of this cifort will be on the Colorado Ri~•er and <br />Colorado River Delta in Mexico. As the IBIti'C discusses these issues with l4cxico it may hecume <br />necessary for Colorado to become more deeply involved in those discussions in order to protect the <br />States' interests in C'nlnrtclo R1Vef wafer. <br />_~ <br />
