Implementation and <br />Recommendations for <br />Colorado's Water Supply <br />Future <br />- ~_ <br />wae~..+~w~r ti~ ,=~ <br />__ <br />6.1 Introduction <br />This section outlines the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board's (CWCB or Board) ongoing <br />implementation plan for Colorado's Water Supply <br />Future. It reflects the recommendations for each <br />Technical Roundtable (TRT). These <br />recommendations are presented in the context of the <br />current statutory responsibilities of each of the <br />CWCB sections and for the Board as a whole. <br />6.1.1 Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board <br />Colorado Revised Statute, Title 37, Article 60 requires <br />the CWCB to conduct the following activities in <br />relation to utilizing the state's waters: <br />~ Formulate methods, means, and plans. <br />~ Gather data and information. <br />~ Foster conservation. <br />~ Recommend water infrastructure projects. <br />~ Make mitigation recommendation to balance <br />between development and the state's water <br />resources. <br />~ Protect the state's fish and wildlife resources. <br />PRELIMINARY DRAFT 6-1 <br />
