Given the reallocation of population for these transbasin counties, the total
<br />population per basin was determined, as summarized in Table 3. The percent
<br />change over 30 years and the annual growth rate are shown in Table 3 for
<br />each basin. The populations in the Colorado, Dolores-San Juan and Gunnison
<br />basins are projected to nearly double over the next thirty years. The North
<br />Platte basin (i.e., Jackson County) has the lowest growth rate showing a
<br />modest increase in population over the 30-year planning period. The South
<br />Platte basin is expected to have moderate growth, but is expected to have the
<br />largest increase in population. The projected population by basin is
<br />illustrated in Figure 1.
