Gilbert, Hanna

From:
Sent:
To:
Subject:

Karen Tomky & Matt Heimerich [heimerichfrm@centurytel.netJ
Sunday, December 07, 20039:35 AM
swsr (Statewide Water Supply Initiative)
SWSI Ark Basin

Dear Susan,

I will be attending the meeting scheduled in Pueblo for Jan 7, 2004. I did send some comments to the staff of
the CWCB concerning some errors in their background basin information. I would also like to suggest an idea
for a project. I do not claim to be originator of this idea but I see some merits in the concept. Instead of piping
water from the Utah border all the over the divide what if we pumped water from below Fruita back up to
Cameo above Grand Junction. We already have in place numerous trans-mountain diversions but the senior
call at Cameo curtails those diversons. If we could satisfy the Grand Valley and continue diverting past the
peak run-off it could be one way to claim Colorado's full entitlement.

Sincerely,
Matt Heimerich

<()>---------------------------------<()>

<()> Matt & Karen @ Heimerich Farm <()>
<)> heimerichfrm@centurytel.net <()>

<()>---------------------------------<)>

1
