able to reap a good amount of money from the annual supply of water that comes
our way. Water management has to be governed by the laws of economics.
±
Does the SWSI process envision making decisions based upon projected urban
growth? Will SWSI also examine economic and other social impacts of its
decisions? Or will it strictly study water?
±
I believe that cities will eventually take agricultural water anyway. Where will
those cities get water if they don?t take it from agriculture? Shouldn?t this region
look at ways to get water from outside the basin or state before we build new
dams?
±
I hope this process reaches out to the groups that understand what they are
going through and what we are going through, and then comes up with solutions.
Water management practices worked well for 125 years but now it?s hard to have
50 interest groups taking pieces. The process should include all interests.
±
Rural Colorado doesn?t have the money to keep its water. Metropolitan areas can
afford the water.
