It is incorrect to say that most of the Grand Valley precip faUs during August thunderstorms. The
long term average ranges from a low of 0.44 inches in June to a high of 1.01 inches in August (Grand
Junction Wafker, Colorado station 053488)
1.4 Groundwater. rt's not correct to say that most of the cfties along the Colorado River rely on municipal wells.
As far as I know no city from Glenwood Springs to the State line uses groundwater.

The February 1991 number of 13083 permitted wells is serrously dated. This should be updated if possible.

Is Fummision really supposed to be Gunnison?

1.7 Energy and Minerai Resources. While discussing hydro, Green Mountain, Williams Fork and possibly other
reservoirs generate power.

2.3 Water Conservation I Conservancy Districts
Roaring Fork Conservancy isn't a district. It was founded in November of 1996 as an independ6nt, non-profit
organization dedicated to preserving and protecting the Roaring Fork River and its tributaries.

2.4 Major Diverters I recommend pulling the transbasin diverter list from the ewes Colo. Basin Fact Sheet and
recharacterizing the fist as transbasin diversions from the basin.

Cameo demand: the demand is reduced to 800 cfs in the non-irrfgation season. Alsof subsequent to the uCheck
Case" (91 CW247) The Cameo Demand cannot call out upstream juniors until the river flow at Cameo faUs below
1.950 cfs

2.5 Major ditch and reservoir companies.
Strj ke
Avalanche canal and siphon water right.
Add:
Orchard Mesa Irrigation District (OMID)
Grand Valley Water Users Assn.

3.. 1 Basin advisors
add Scott Fifer

7.1 Key Diversion and Storage Projects
Add
Fryingpan Arkansas (Ruedi Res)
Denver Moffat collection system
Denver Blue River system
CHnton Gu~ch Reservoir

Remove
Windy Gap Firming Project
Sulpher Gulch

1/22/2004
