SM concept pIan.doc
8/16/04

JUSTIFY I DOCUl\1ENT PRELIMINARY ESTIMATED COSTS

Implementation of a Water Storage, Management and Conservation Plan
The cost of the study its-self is estimated to be $181000. The budget herein
provided estimates that it will cost $400tOOO to implement chosen portions of the
adopted plan..

Construct Marie Scott Reservoir and appurtenant structures
Harris Water. Engineering recently updated cost estimates in the Boyle study
attributed to construction of the Marie Seon Reservoir and the appurtenant
strnctures needed to beneficially use the impounded water. Those appurtenant
structures are9~ 1) a new diversion into the J&M Hughes Ditch from Fall CTeek~.
2) Enlarge the J &M Hughes Ditch; 3) construct the Beaver Park Ditch and
Beaver Creek Siphon,9 and 4) limited enlargement of the Gurley Ditch.

Straw Dam or Enlarge Lone Cone Reservoir
For the purpose of this exercise~ I have assumed that there is not enough water to
justify construction of both facilities. Therefore1 the $12,000,000 calculated is
estimated to cover either option.

JUSTIFY I DOCUMENT PRELIMINARY DEBT SERVICE OPTIONS
(SEE ATIACHED SPREADSHEET & NOTES)
