In a letter dated June 26,2002, Jr., P.E.,
Project Manager, Muller Engineering Company, Inc., requested that FEMA revise the FIRM to show the
effects of more detailed topographic information along Bear Creek from approximately 75 feet
downstream to approximately 450 feet upstream of Estes Street and redevelopment on the LAGO
Property along the northern overbank of Bear Creek from approximately 150 feet upstream to
approximately 1,350 feet upstream of Estes Street. The Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA), the area that
would be inundated by the flood having a I-percent chance of being equaled or exceeded in any given
year (base flood), along these reaches is designated Zone A, an SFHA with no Base Flood Elevations
determined. This request follows up on a Conditional Letter of Map Revision issued on March 12, 200 I.

All data required to complete our review of this request were submitted with letters from

We have completed our review of the submitted data and the flood data shown on the effective FIRM.
We have revised the FIRM to modify the floodplain boundary delineations of the base flood along Bear
Creek. As a result of the modifications, the width of the SFHA for Bear Creek increased in some areas
and decreased in other areas. The modifications are shown on the enclosed annotated copy of FIRM
Panel 0010 C. This Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) hereby revises the above-referenced panel of the
effective FIRM dated January 3, 1983.

The modifications are effective as of the date shown above. The map panel listed above and as modified
by this letter will be used for all flood insurance policies and renewals issued for your community.

A review of the determination made by this LOMR and any requests to alter this determination should be
made within 30 days. Any request to alter the determination must be based on scientific or technical
data.

We are processing a revised FIRM and Flood Insurance Study (FIS) report for Jefferson County in our
countywide format; therefore, we will not physically revise and republish the FIRM for your community
to incorporate the modifications made by this LOMR at this time. Preliminary copies of the countywide
FIRM and FIS report, which present information from the effective FIRMs and FIS reports for your
