<br />Chatfield Reservoir Reallocation Project <br />Environmental & Recreation Subcommittee Meeting <br />September 20,2007 -1:30 pm, 1580 Logan Street, CFWE, 4th Floor <br /> <br />SUMMARY <br /> <br />An official note taker was not available for the meeting, but the following topics were discussed: <br /> <br />1) Chatfield Basin Conservation Network is now an official "special technical advisor" on the project <br /> <br />2) The Colorado Environmental Coalition will soon become a "special technical advisor" on the project <br /> <br />3) Water Users have joined or will soon be joining the South Platte Water Related Activities Program <br />(SPWRAP) to assist greatly with South Platte depletions related to the Chatfield Reallocation project. <br /> <br />4) Regarding the Economic Analysis being conducted by USACE, Gene Sturm will need an explanation <br />of historic, current, and projected groundwater use (or non-use) by the Downstream Water Users. <br /> <br />5) There will be an agenda item regarding Environmental and Recreation Mitigation for the USACE HQ <br />meeting in Washington D.C. on 9/24. <br /> <br />6) Environmental Mitigation topics were discussed <br /> <br />7) Recreation Mitigation topics were discussed <br /> <br />8) Education, Outreach, and PIO is an important element moving forward on the Chatfield Reallocation <br />project. <br /> <br />9) CWCB will sponsor a Technical Feasibility Study for Chatfield Reallocation to assist all Water Users <br />with project information and future CWCB loans ifneeded. <br /> <br />10) Action Items and Next Steps: The next meeting is scheduled for 1:30 pm on Nov. 1st at 1580 Logan <br />Street, Colorado Foundation for Water Education. <br />
