Chatfield Reallocation Project
EnvironementalIRecreation Subcommittee Meeting
November 1, 2007
1580 Logan Street, Room 410, 1:30 pm

Tom: Did everyone get an agenda? Thanks for coming, appreciate that. Why don't we start with
introductions?

Tom Browning, CWCB
Bob Peters, Denver Water
Becky Long, Colorado Environmental Coalition
Bill Ruzzo, DBG
Karen Sitoski, USACE
Jim Dorsch, Metro Wastewater
Susan Allee, Metro Wastewater
Mary Powell, ERO Resources
Steve Dougherty, ERO Resources
Ken Brink, Chatfield State Parks
Rick McCloud, Centennial WCD
Ronda Sandquist, representing Roxborough
Kent Wiley, Audubon Society of Greater Denver
Anne Bonnell, Audubon Society, South Platte Sierra Club
Susan Maul (recorder)

Tom: Before we jump into the agenda, we have some new faces. General question to this group,
Bill commented, are we on the right track with these meetings? Still needed and appropriate? If
so, what should be the focus and agenda topics? And if not, are the regular coordination
meetings sufficient? What do you think? Any thoughts?

Bill: One of the things we've been concerned about, we have these environmental recreation
committee set up, we weren't discussing these topics, this big topic. Many cases, get to these
meetings, and so much is going on we don't get to this topic. I suggest we focus on these topics,
as much as we'd like to talk about other things.

Tom: Some come frequently, some not as much, so its hard to get our arms around it. As the
overall coordinator, what is really going on with these meetings? Are we being efficient and
productive? We have a coordination meeting on the 6th, and an EIS meeting on the 13th. There
is some overlap, can overlook if you don't do go the website. Are we on the right track? Do we
need to revamp?

Bob: Has an every other month meeting been considered? To keep track of the issues?

Tom: Part of the reason is, the role of the Chatfield Conservation network. I have a handout at
that point of the agenda, a 2 page proposal. Goal is for them to co-chair these meetings, and
facilitate, set agendas, get the info out ahead of time. It's a good thing, no surprises, hopefully
will help facilitate things. Ken, I know you attend regularly, if you guys feel you want the co-

1
