future as needed. Additional $600,000 available from CWCB to pay back Channel Improvement Project
account and add more funding to reallocation project.
· Marty distributed draft copy of reallocation study schedule that indicates preliminary draft EIS released in
March 2007, and negotiation/execution of water supply contracts in July 2008. The dates are subject to
change, especially given the fact that certain tasks that are out of the team's control (e.g. obtaining
approval from Parks Board regarding EDAW recreation mitigation study that is desperately needed by
Tetra Tech at this time).
· Dan is very interested in keeping Tetra Tech on-track and on-time with the EIS study. He asked if there
were any known obstacles to project success, and nobody was aware of such obstacles. A brief
discussion took place regarding which EIS chapters have been drafted and released for internal review,
and which chapters are still being written. Dan will likely attend the 11-30-06 progress meeting at Tetra
Tech office.
· Dan suggested that it might be valuable for the water users to begin contacting state parks to convey the
importance of completing/releasing the EDAW recreation mitigation study. EIS work is being held up at
this time.
· The meeting ended at approximately 12:30pm and all agreed that it was valuable and worthwhile.

Action Items:
· CWCB to set/distribute agenda and confirm EIS study meeting for 11-30-06; Corps PM is available that
day as well as Tetra Tech staff.
· Essential Corps personnel to travel to Denver 12-14-06 and/or 12-15-06 in preparation for the Vertical
Team Meeting to be proposed to Corps HQ.
· Essential Corps personnel to travel to Denver for Vertical Team Meeting on 1-18-07 and 1-19-07.
· Chatfield local sponsors and interests will finalize issues/questions with Omaha District team for Vertical
Team meeting approximately 30 days prior to actual meeting.
· CWCB and Corps to meet as needed for contract related discussions.
· CWCB to continue to pursue additional water user funds valued at $10/acre-foot per the letters of
agreement between CWCB and each of the 16 users.
· Marty will notify Tom when project funds are running low so that we can stay ahead of the funding curve
and avoid any contract issues with Tetra Tech.
· CWCB (Rod) will finalize and sign support letter to Colorado Congressional delegation asking for
continued support of the $400,000 in the Energy and Water Appropriations Bill and passage of the WRDA
Bill.

2
