<br />Chatfield Reservoir Reallocation Progress Meeting <br />Tetra Tech Office, Lakewood, Colorado <br />May 3, 2007 <br /> <br />Meeting time: <br />· Start time: 9:30 am <br />· End time: approx. 12:30 pm <br /> <br />Meeting attendance: <br />· Chatfield reallocation team members <br />· See sign-in sheet for specific individuals <br /> <br />CWCB project update (led by Tom Browning): <br />· The FY 07 full Corps funding of $354,000 has been confirmed. <br />· The Tetra Tech stop work order has been lifted and the Tetra Tech team was welcomed back to the <br />proj ect. <br />· Special thanks for all of the support and patience of the team during the difficult time when project <br />funding was extremely limited. <br />· Congratulations to the team involved in the D.C. trip to assist in securing the FY 07 funding for <br />the proj ect. <br />· The CWCB looks forward to working with the Corps, Tetra Tech, water users, and the rest of the <br />proj ect team to keep the momentum going strong for the proj ect. <br /> <br />Project Schedule and Costs (led by Eric Laux): <br />· Timeline estimates were provided for several key milestones as follows: <br />o October 2007 - Preliminary EIS completed (followed by the ITR and Team Review) <br />o March 2008 - Draft EIS completed for public review <br />o August/Sept. 2008 - Final EIS completed <br />o January 2009 - HQ recommendations and command notice <br />o February/March 2009 - ROD by ASA <br />· Timeline estimates will need to be reviewed and refined by key Corps staff and Tetra Tech <br />· A more detailed schedule, including intermediate steps and milestones, will be developed by the <br />Corps and distributed to the team as soon as possible. (target date is the June 20th progress <br />meeting). <br />· Total study costs are likely to increase by approximately $200,000 or more (both Corps and Tetra <br />Tech costs) due to line item tasks that were previously underestimated or new tasks that were not <br />originally scoped. These increases will likely be associated with federal FY 08. <br />· Tetra Tech is working on a more detailed study schedule and will try to have something to the <br />team by the June 20th progress meeting. <br /> <br />Corps of Engineers and Tetra Tech Reports (led by Eric Laux, Gary Drendel, Tom Ryon, and Gene <br />W eglinski): <br />· A powerpoint presentation was given to describe the process and preliminary results for habitat <br />mapping in the Chatfield project area. GIS aerial images and tables were shown to indicate acres <br />affected for Preble's Mouse, Birds, and Wetlands. <br /> <br />1 <br />
