Thank you for your return call and for your willingness to meet with conservationists to discuss
the Statewide Water Supply Initiative and public participation. I am sorry that we have only been
able to exchange phone messages to this point~ but I hope we can soon speak in person.

We continue to hear that decisions are imminent on how public participation win take place for
the SWSI, and we would very much like to visit with you before that happens. My hope, and 1
believe that of others in the conservation community, is that we can participate effectively in the
SWSI and help promote outcomes that address Colorado's water needs through programs and
projects that also protect our state's environment and quality aftife. We believe it is critical to
the SWSI's success that its process be inclusive enough to allow involvement from the full range
of interested parties.
