- 5 -

Colorado State Parks Recreation Mithmtion Study Phase II
. Paul Flack stated that one of the main factors in the recreational analysis is the water operations model.
Draft analysis was provided by Rick McLoud to the Corp. That analysis will be done within a few
weeks. The CWCB DSS staff has offered to assist in reviewing and refining the operations model. This
will help to create a more realistic daily model of reservoir operations.
. The Group will be apprised of operational impacts prior to defining mitigation alternatives and costs.
. As study progress is made, new information can be incorporated into the recreation plan.
. EDA W will be studying the lake level thresholds for various facilities.

Additional Information
. The study will welcome and utilize information from interest groups such as Nature Conservancy, Trout
Unlimited, think beyond FWS, DOW, Parks, Denver, Sierra Club, and Audubon Society.
. The CWCB is drafting comments regarding the "No Action Alternative" and will attach all of the water
users comments as well for use by Tetra Tech. We hope to have this information emailed to Tetra Tech
by September 9th. All ofthe comments and the CWCB memo will be shared with the group once
completed.
.
