. Reservoir Stora2e - Reservoir storage at 97% of average on March 14th. Weare in good shape
but Arkansas basin is 65% of average. The Rio Grande is at 72% and there isn't as much water
storage water southwest as there is in other basins.
. The departure from average within the last 12 months we see it has improved steadily.

Colorado Surface Water Supply Index (SWSI) Map

SWSI Index - The Surface Water Supply Index is a map for general reference of abundant
supplies and drought conditions for reservoirs in Colorado. The Yampa and Colorado Basins
have abundant supplies this year.
Streamflow Forecasts - This year the NRCS forecasts less than 50% of average in lower Rio
Grande basin and the southern tributaries of the Arkansas.
The Eagle River is in the 130% of average category. Lately there has been a little bit of a drop
off in run off forecasts.
This recent storm in the
southwest was an increase
of 15% in snowpack or 15
inches at Wolf Creek and
that makes about 4 inches
of liquid water. It was a
good storm but didn't do
much overall. The numbers
went from 48% to 55% of
average.
The NRCS SNOTEL sites
are in good working order
this year with one or two
out of about 100 in
