Eric Hecox: We'll talk about the IBCC role more at the October meeting, and report back <br />about the work group activities. Does this group want to take on some of the possible <br />solutions? <br />Jeris Danielson: We ought to be conceptualizing and looking big-picture. We can't wait <br />until studies are done before we do anything. <br />Decisions and Major Points: The IBCC agreed to discuss the work groups and IBCC roles in <br />greater depth at the next meeting. Major points and questions include: <br />Concern about the outputs of this process being used to limit development of <br />consumptive uses or in regulatory processes; however the IBCC can't control how <br />information is used, and generally agreed it is better to have conversations based on data. <br />Having information about a need does not always implement a solution. Away to meet <br />that need still needs to be found within the water rights system. <br />Common process and common methods provide the common technical platform. The <br />substance of the outcomes is up to the Roundtables. <br />Can/should the IBCC discuss possible solutions to identified needs before the needs <br />assessments are complete? <br />Harris Sherman adjourned the meeting. <br />to <br />
