4 (2) The amounts appropriated in this section are in addition. to amounts appropriated
5 previously for the south platte decision support system. The moneys appropriated in subsection (1)
6 of this section shall remain available for the designated purposes until the project is completed.

9 SECTION 11. Colorado river curtailment study -appropriation. (1) In addition to any
10 other appropriation, there is hereby appropriated, out of any moneys in the Colorado water
11 conservation board construction fund not otherwise appropriated, to the department of natural
12 resources, for allocation to the Colorado water conservation board, for the fiscal year beginning
13 July 1, 2008, the sum of five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000), or so much thereof' as may be
14 necessary, for the board to complete a study to identify issues associated with the actual curtailment
15 of uses and to evaluate methods of curtailing Colorado river water users within the State; should the
16 terms of the Colorado river compact fail to be met. The study is to be used by the state engineer to
17 develop curtailment rules for use in water right administration should curtailments become
18 necessary.

20 (2) The moneys appropriated in subsection (1) of this section shall remain available for the
21 designated purposes until the prof ect is completed.

~24 SECTION 12. Restoration of flood response fund balance. The state treasurer shall
25 transfer a total of three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000), or so much thereof as may be
26 necessary, from the unreserved cash in the Colorado water conservation board construction fund to
27 the flood response fund created in section 37-60-123.2, Colorado Revised Statutes, in order to
28 restore the unencumbered balance in the flood response fund to three hundred thousand dollars
29 ($300,000).

32 SECTION 13. Continuation of the Colorado floodplain map modernization program -
33 appropriation. (1) In addition to any other appropriation, there is hereby appropriated, out of any
34 moneys in the Colorado water conservation board construction fund not otherwise appropriated, to
35 the department of natural resources, for allocation to the Colorado water conservation board, for the
36 fiscal year beginning July 1, 2008, the sum of five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000), or so
37 much thereof as may be necessary in order to restore the unencumbered balance in the previously
38 appropriated map modernization account to five hundred thousand dollars ($SOO,OCIO), for the
39 board to continue to assist with the preparation of revised and improved floodplain studies and
40 maps for communities throughout Colorado and participate in federally sponsored floodplain map
41 modernization activities.

43 (2) The amounts appropriated in this section are in addition to amounts appropriated
44 previously for the Colorado floodplain map modernization program. The moneys appropriated in
45 subsection (1) of this section shall remain available for the designated purposes until the project is
