7 Animas La Plata Cost Share

9 Animas la Plata Project Cost Share Participation: The statute will authorize the transfer of
10 $500,000 from the Severance Tax Operational Account into the Construction Fund for the purpose
11 of financing components of the Project the state is responsible for constructing pursuant to the Ute
12 Indian Water Rights Settlement Act. The statute will also authorize the board to enter into
13 contracts as necessary to implement the section.

16 SECTION 34. 37-60-126 Colorado Revised Statutes, is amended to read:

18 State Required Water Conservation Plan Elements

20 Clarifying the State Required Water Conservation Plan Elements: The statute will be
21 amended to clarify the requirement of covered entities to develop water conservation plans that
22 minimally include certain plan elements. The amendment will remove current ambiguity in the
23 statute pertaining to the extent to which plan elements shall be addressed in the water conservation
24 plan.

27 SECTION 33. Safety clause. The general assembly hereby finds, determines, and declares
28 that this act is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, and safety.
