In a letter dated <br />October 7, 1998, , P.E., Taggert Engineering Associates, Inc., requested that <br />FEMA revise the FIRM and FIS report to show the effects of a bank stabilization project at four locations <br />and construction of two detention ponds along the reach of Tallman Gulch within the Upper Hidden River <br />subdivision and updated topographic information, relocation of a road crossing, and construction of three <br />grade control structures and a pedestrian bridge along Tallman Gulch downstream of the subdivision. This <br />request follows up on a Conditional Letter of Map Revision issued on July 31, 1996. <br /> <br />All data required to complete our review of t:tm request were submitted with letters from <br />. . ". P.E., Associate, also with Taggert Engineering Associates, Inc. <br /> <br />"lod <br /> <br />We have completed our review of the submitted data and the flood data shown on the effective FIRM and <br />FIS report. We have revised the FIRM and FIS report to modify the elevations and floodplain and <br />floodway boundary delineations of the flood having a I-percent chance of being equaled or exceeded in <br />any given year (base fla:x:l) along Tallman Gulch from the confluence with Sulphur Gulch to approximately <br />6,300 feet upstream of Tallman Drive. As a result of the modifications, the base flood elevations (BFEs) <br />and the width of the Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA), the area that would be inundated by the base <br />flood, for the revised reach of Tallman Gulch increased in some areas and decreased in other areas, and <br />the width of the regulatory floodway decreased. The modifications are shown on the enclosed annotated <br />copies of FIRM Panel(s) 0070 D, 0185 B, and 0205 A; Profile Panel(s) I9P, 20P, 2IP, 22P, and 23P; and <br />affected portions of the Floodway Data Table. This Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) hereby revises <br />effective FIRM Panel 0070 D dated February 2, 1996; Panel 0185 D dated March 2, 1993; and <br />Panel 0205 A dated September 30, 1987, and the affected portions of the FIS report dated <br />February 2, 1996. <br /> <br />Because this revision request also affects the unincorporated areas of Douglas County, a separate LOMR <br />for that community was issued on the same date as this LOMR. <br />
