In a letter dated
October 7, 1998, P.E., Taggert Engineering Associates, Inc., requested that
FEMA revise the FIRM and PIS report to show the effects of a bank stabilization proj ect at four locations
and construction of two detention ponds along the reach of Tallman Gulch within the Upper Hidden River
subdivision and updated topographic information, relocation of a road crossing, and construction of three
grade control structures and a pedestrian bridge along Tallman Gulch downstream of the subdivision. This
request follows up on a Conditional Letter of Map Revision issued on July 31, 1996.

All data required to complete our review of this request were submitted with letters from
P. E., Associate, also with Taggert Engineering Associates, Inc.

and

We have completed our review of the submitted data and the flood data shown on the effective FIRM and
FIS report. We have revised the FIRM and FIS report to modify the elevations and floodplain and
floodway boundary delineations of the flood having a I-percent chance of being equaled or exceeded in
any given year (base flood) along Tallman Gulch from approximately 6,300 feet upstream to approximately
8,400 feet upstream of Tallman Drive. As a result of the modifications, the base flood elevations (BFEs)
for the revised reach of Tallman Gulch decreased; the width of the Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA),
the area that would be inundated by the base flood, increased in some areas and decreased in other areas;
and the width of the regulatory floodway decreased. The modifications are shown on the enclosed
annotated copies of FIRM Panel(s) 0070 E, 0185 D, and 0205 C; Profile Panel(s) 95P, 96P, 97P, 98P, and
99P; and affected portions of the Floodway Data Table. This Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) hereby
revises effective FIRM Panel 0070 E dated January 5, 1996; Panel 0185 D dated March 15, 1993; and
Panel 0205 C dated September 30, 1987, and the affected portions of the FIS report dated January 5, 1996.

Because this revision request also affects the Town of Parker, a separate LOMR for that community was
issued on the same date as this LOMR.
