In a letter dated July 30, 2002, Mr. James Riley, Development
Manager, Castle Rock Development Company, requested that FEMA revise the FIRM to show the
effects of development of Meadows Subdivision Filings No.9 and No. 11 along 6400 Tributary East
Fork from approximately 2,000 feet downstream to approximately 3,000 feet upstream of Cherokee
Drive. The project included construction of eight drop structures and two inline detention ponds in the
project reach. One detention pond is located just upstream of Cherokee Drive, and the other is located
just upstream of Meadows Boulevard. In addition, two culverts were installed at road crossings: a
10- foot by 6- foot box culvert at Cherokee Drive and a 12- foot by 20- foot box culvert at Meadows
Boulevard.

All data required to complete our review of this request were submitted with letters from _
. r, P.E., Project Manager, Rocky Mountain Consultants, Inc.

We have completed our review of the submitted data and the flood data shown on the effective FIRM.
We have revised the FIRM to modify the floodplain boundary delineations of the flood having a
I-percent chance of being equaled or exceeded in any given year (base flood) along 6400 Tributary East
Fork in the above-referenced project area. As a result of the modifications, the width of the Special
Flood Hazard Area (SFHA), the area that would be inundated by the base flood, increased in some areas
and decreased in other areas. The increases in SFHA width are contained within the requester's
property. The modifications are shown on the enclosed annotated copy of FIRM Panel 0170 C. This
Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) hereby revises the above-referenced panel of the effective FIRM dated
September 30, 1987.

The modifications are effective as of the date shown above. The map panel listed above and as modified
by this letter will be used for all flood insurance policies and renewals issued for your community.

A review of the determination made by this LOMR and any requests to alter this determination should be
made within 30 days. Any request to alter the determination must be based on scientific or technical
data.
