This project is a joint project of the City of Steamboat Springs and Routt County. Routt County Government
encompasses virtually the entire upper Yampa River Basin in its jurisdiction. The City of Steamboat Spring is a
Municipal Government and the County Seat of Routt County.

Both the City of Steamboat Springs and Routt County are eligible applicants for this grant program, and Routt
County will act as the fiscal agent for the grant. The County’s Environmental Health Department will act as the
contracting agent and be primarily responsible for the contract with the U. S. Geological Survey who will
undertake the studies proposed herein.
