This Permit is to <br />increase snowpack, streamflow and reservoir storage in the Gunnison <br />River Basin. Drainages that originate from these areas include but are <br />not limited to the Upper Gunnison River and its tributaries including <br />the East Fork River, Taylor River, Slate River, Ohio Creek and <br />Tomichi Creek. The Project Sponsors are Gunnison County, Dos Rios <br />Water System, Upper Gunnison River Water Conservancy District, <br />Crested Butte Mountain Resort, Town of Crested Butte, Scenic River <br />Tours, City of Gunnison, Gunnison County Stock Growers <br />Association, Crested Butte South Metropolitan District. Gunnison, <br />Marble, and Crested Butte are towns that are reasonably thought to be <br />affected from weather modification operations. This Permit <br />consolidates two previous Gunnison Basin permits 2003-01 and 2003- <br />02 into one Permit for the Gunnison Basin. <br /> <br />Approval is hereby given for operations from November 15 through <br />April 15, 2008, with conditional approval given through operational <br />season 2011-2012, provided that the Permit Holder and Project <br />Sponsors comply with the terms and conditions of the Permit. This <br />Permit is subject to the Permit renewal requirements of section 36-20- <br />114, CR.S. (2007). This permit can be renewed on or before April 15, <br />2012. <br />
