In a report of August 2001, Mr. Jasper L. Herrera, P.E., HCL
Engineering & Surveying, LLC, requested that FEMA revise the FIRM to show the effects of the
channelization of the SJCD 6200 North Tributary from the confluence with SJCD 6200 to Platte Canyon
Road. This request follows up on a Conditional Letter of Map Revision issued on January 5, 1999 (Case
No. 98-08-382R).

All data required to complete our review of this request were submitted with letters from Mr. Robert R.
Gabriel, P.E., HCL Engineering & Surveying, LLC and Mr. Herrera.

We have completed our review of the submitted data and the flood data shown on the effective FIRM.
We have revised the FIRM to modify the floodplain boundary delineation and zone designation of the
flood having a I-percent chance of being equaled or exceeded in any given year (base flood) along the
SJCD 6200 North Tributary from just downstream of Nevada Ditch to just upstream of Platte Canyon
Road. As a result of the modifications, the width of the Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA), the area that
would be inundated by the base flood, for the SJCD 6200 North Tributary decreased. The revised SFHA
is contained in the design channel and designated as Zone A, area for which base flood elevations have
not been determined. The modifications are shown on the enclosed annotated copy of FIRM Panel
0800170005 D. This Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) hereby revises the above-referenced panel of the
effective FIRM, dated September 29, 1989.

The modifications are effective as of the date shown above. The map panels as listed above and as
modified by this letter will be used for all flood insurance policies and renewals issued for your
community.

A review of the determination made by this LOMR and any requests to alter this determination should be
made within 30 days. Any request to alter the determination must be based on scientific or technical
data.
