Pas floods which <br />caused damage have also occurred on the Big Thompso River in 1864 <br />and 1894, but no discharge or damage estimates were recorded. <br />Floods also occurred on the Big Thompson River in 1~19, 1923, 1945, <br />and 1949 with discharges of 8000, 7000, 7600, and 77 0 cfs, respectively. <br />Pictures of the 1976 flood are shown in Figures 2 trough 6. <br /> <br />Notable floods on the Cache La Poudre River in the <br />occurred in 1844, 1864, 1884, 1891, 1904, 1923,and <br />apparently three large floods of comparable size in <br />1904. On August 1, 1961, a storm w <br />of 50 to 100 years caused an estimated $76,150 in d <br />Wellington vicinity.
