<br />~~ <br /> <br />P' ... <br /> <br />August 30, 2007 <br /> <br />Letter of Commitment <br />GreenCO Best Management Practices (BMP) Expansion Project <br /> <br />Curtis Swift <br />CSU Cooperative Extension <br />POBox 20,000-5028 <br />Grand Junction, CO 81502-5028 <br /> <br />Dear Curt., <br /> <br />This letter of is to inform you that in the coming days, the Green Industries of Colorado <br />(GreenCO) will be submitting a grant application to the Colorado Water Conservation Board- <br />Office of Drought Planning and Conservation for a water efficiency grant to fund a project to <br />expand and revise its Green Industry Best Man agetn ent Practices (BMP) for the Conservation and <br />Water Quality Protection Practices in Colorado. <br /> <br />GreenCO's goal for this project is to build upon the ongoing success of the program to <br />reach not only its industry, but also a wide array of affected parties and stakeholders. If the grant <br />is approved, GreenCO will need your help to begin 'York on its BMP Manual and Training <br />Program to add more techn'ical substance, and begin identifying new practices to correlate with <br />the with the "green movement." Industry expertise will be vital in identifying new BMPs to <br />address topics such as sustainability, energy, reuse, recycling, alternative fuels, and <br />transportation, among others. <br /> <br />Serving on behalf of CSU Cooperative Extension (Western Slope), you are invited to <br />participate on the BMP Expansion Advisory Committee. As a committee member, you would be <br />asked to attend approximately six meetings beginning in October 2007 and ending in late January <br />2008. All we ask is that you solicit input from your peers, lend your expertise, and help to bring <br />this important project to fruition. <br /> <br />If you are interested in participating, a letter of commitment is required as part of the <br />grant approval process.
