A map of areas surrounding the forecast point that provides information about <br />major roads, railways, landmarks, etc. likely to be flooded, the levels of past <br />floods, etc. <br /> <br />An additional feature of the AHPS Web is a map of the river basin and various points <br />along the river for which information is available. The data are not limited to information <br />about floods, but can also provide information about potential droughts. <br /> <br />Skyview Weather - Castle Rock, Colorado <br /> <br />Skyview Weather located in Douglas County (Castle Rock) is contracted by the county <br />and Castle Rock to provide weather related services that augment NWSFO-BOU <br />information. The services that Skyview provides the county and Castle Rock includes <br />the following: <br /> <br />· Weather predictions that are independent of predictions issued by NWSFO-BOU. <br /> <br />· Operational monitoring of current weather conditions. <br /> <br />· Pass through service of NWSFO-BOU Watches and Warnings. <br /> <br />· Coordination and deployment of real-time weather spotters. <br /> <br />· Monitoring of UDFCD F2P2 products. <br /> <br />· Independent evaluation of federal forecast products. <br /> <br />· Act as liaison to the NWSFO-BOU. <br /> <br />. Monitor statements from the NWSFO - Pueblo, due to the abutment of the <br />NWSFO-Pueblo area of responsibility with Douglas County and the Hayman <br />Burn Area. <br /> <br />Product Descriptions <br /> <br />The following are the meteorological products that are produced by Skyview Weather. <br />Examples of these products can be found in the technical addendum. <br /> <br />· A written forecast product is issued on a standard form. There is at least one <br />product issued per day. <br /> <br />· Product covers general weather factors such as precipitation, precipitation type, <br />temperatures, winds, etc. <br /> <br />· Updates are issued for this product on an as needed basis. <br /> <br />· Temporal/spatial precipitation prediction is noted in the forecasts products if <br />deemed necessary. <br /> <br />14 <br />
