Owns <br />and maintains a district wide flood detection network including stream <br />gages, rain gages and weather stations in Douglas County. Area of <br />responsibility includes northern Douglas County including the population <br />areas of Parker, Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree, Castle Pines, Sed alia, and <br />Louviers. Onerain, located in Longmont, Colorado currently holds the <br />contract to perform maintenance of the district wide flood detection <br />network. <br /> <br />. Urban Drainage and Flood Control District's Flash Flood Prediction <br />Program (F2P2) <br />Provide weather prediction, detection and notification services to northern <br />Douglas County that includes the population areas of Parker, Highlands <br />Ranch, Lone Tree, Castle Pines, Sed alia, and Louviers. Site specific <br />rainfall prediction produced for the West, East and Plum Creek <br />watercourses as well as the Cherry Creek watercourse within the district. <br />HDR, located in Denver, Colorado currently the Meteorological Services <br />Provider for the F2P2. <br /> <br />State of Colorado Agencies <br /> <br />· Office of Emergency Management <br />Allocation of resources for flood fighting activities, financial assistance <br />during and after flooding events. Acts as a liaison between local <br />governments and federal agencies. <br /> <br />· Department of Transportation <br />Responsible for storm drainage conveyance of existing drainage areas <br />and removal of debris in storm drains in and around state roadways. <br />Barricading of flooded streets for purpose of traffic re-routing away from <br />flooded areas on state roadways. <br /> <br />. Department of Public Safety - State patrol <br />Responsible for state highway safety including road closures. Area of <br />responsibility includes Interstate 25 within the East Plum Creek drainage <br />area and State Highway 83 within the East Cherry Creek and Cherry <br />Creek drainage areas. <br /> <br />· Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />Responsible water supply protection, flood protection, water supply <br />planning and finance, stream and lake protection, and conservation and <br />drought planning. <br /> <br />8 <br />
