BOX 70
CREEDE, COLORADO 81130
(719) 658-2331

Colorado Water
Conservation Board

Tom Browning
CWCB
1313 Sherman Room 721
Denver CO 80203

Dear Tom,

Thank you for taking the time to talk with me about the Wolf Creek Ranchettes
Subdivision. I have enclosed a map of the subdivision.

There is an oddly dotted line just above the green of the South Fork of the
Rio Grande River which shows the 100 year flood plain.

The slope upward toward the highway is probably not more than two degrees or
three.

Since residents have agreed to pump sewage up toward the highway, the
remaining issue is where they will be able to locate their houses.

Many will want to build inside the 100 year flood plain. Others will
want to build right on the edge of the river. It is possible on some of
these lots to be just 10 or 20 feet from the river edge, and to be
OUTSIDE the 100 year flood plain.

Your help in working this out is appreciated.

Sincerely,

f\1~

Mark Latour
County Administrator

--
