June 12, <br />streams. 2007. <br /> <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Officials in Phillips County said there was significant flooding into some basements, <br />some railroad tracks were washed out, and there was a lot of standing water in the <br />region. No injuries were reported. <br /> <br />The Weather Service said a weather spotter reported 8.2 inches of rain in one part of <br />Phillips County over two days. Other areas of the county reported only about three <br />inches. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />In the Denver area, 1.7 inches was reported falling in just an hour near Conifer. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Northeastern Colorado has been hit hard by rain in the last couple of days -- with one <br />spot in Phillips County reporting 8.2 inches. <br /> <br />Flooding forced the closure of two highways there Tuesday night -- Colorado 23 and <br />US Highway 6 between Holyoke and Nebraska. <br /> <br />No injuries were reported and no houses were threatened by the flooding. <br /> <br />The National Weather Service said other areas of the county reported about 3 inches <br />of rain. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />In the Denver area, 1.7 inches was reported within just one hour near Conifer <br />Tuesday. <br /> <br />Copyright 2007 Fox Denver (KDVR).
