:~/

~/

0'.

6. The Town of Kit Carson is not pleased with their current FEMA floodI)lain map.
Jane would like for the CWCB to send a copy of a revised map that m:akes more
sense. It doesn't matter to her if the revised floodplain map is just an aBproximate
map that we have sketched up. She would just like to have something to show to the
Town Board that indicates we are attempting to fix their "bad" floodplain map.

7. Jane confirmed that the CWCB was told (in a previous conversation) that ~Gt Carson
would not oppose Board Action on the designation and approval of their :floodplain
information. Jane confirmed that the Mayor, at that time, was not interested in
sending a letter of request, but that the CWCB could do what they needed as long as it
didn't require any time and monetary commitments on the part of Kit Carsoh..

8. In retrospect, the Town would like to have had the chance to review the floodplain
Resolution before it was designated and approved by the Board.

9. Kit Carson is not interested in participating in the NFIP.

10. Kit Carson will have a new Mayor starting on Monday, May 6.

11. Kit Carson is having a Town Board meeting on Monday, May 6.

,
12. Jane does not want to set up a definite meeting with CWCB staff until the ~ayor and
the Town Board have reviewed the resolution and the Floodplain Information Report
(to be sent to the Town as noted below in "Action Items"). They will decide how they
want to handle information, and then Jane will call us back. :

ACTION ITEMS

1. Send a transmittal letter (letter of explanation).

2. Send a copy of the Floodplain Information Report.

,
3. Send a copy of the CWCB's revised floodplain map to Kit Carson ASAP. ,The Town
Clerk would like to have all of the information in time for the May 6, 1:996 Town
Board meeting. '
