<br />I. NTRODUCTION <br />This Flood Hazard Area Delineation Report (FHAD) is the result of a study for Upper Lena Gulch <br />initiated by the project sponsors: the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District, Jefferson <br />County, and the Cities of Golden and Lakewood. The major purpose of this study is to identify <br />the boundaries of the 1 DO-year floodplain and the associated flood hazards within Upper Lena <br />Guich. The information provided in this report is intended to update portions of a previous <br />study (Lena Gulch Master Drainage Plan) completed in June 1975. . Improvements which have <br />been constructed in the basin since the previous Master Plan are incorporated in the analyses. <br />In addition, this study employs new techniques and criteria for evaluating the hydrologic and <br />hydraulic characteristics of the basin.
