Comments on Sheet 1 of 18
Reach L-13 (Station 470+00 to 450+00
The existing structures under the access road and the Mobile Premix quany road are 48" and 60" diameter CMP
culverts, respectively, with capacity for less than the 100-year flow. The access road and quarry road would be
overtopped during the 100-year flood. The existing natural channel generally has adequate capacity for the 100-
year flow. No residential or commercial structures are located in the floodplain in this reach.
The recommended improvements for this reach include erosion control structures to stabilize the channel and arrest
streambed degradation caused by the steep channel slopes and high velocities. The structures should help protect
downstream water quality by reducing the amount of sediment transported in the flow.

REACH L-13 - SHEET 1
Item Description Quantitv Unit Unit Price Cost
F.rn<:inn COl1..tm1 Stru,ctures - - - - - -
- Includes excavation, backfill, seeding & restoration 16 EA 7000 112,000
Total Construction Cost 112,000
- 15% Engineering 16,800
- 20% Contingencies 25.800
TOTAL COST 154,600
