3

A review of Exhibit G and the GIS file that is referenced in Item I of "General Issues" has resulted
in a minor change in the floodplain delineation for this area. Note that the new study floodplain is
smaller than the effective floodplain.

Cross Sections

1. For the Revised Preliminary FIRM, dated August 28, 2003, Sato corrected the flood hazard
information for the main stem of Gore Creek to incorporate revised cross-sectional data based on
topographic information provided by the Town of Vail and to add additional cross-sectional data at
all bridges in the original hydraulic models. Some cross-section locations have been altered to fit
detailed survey data locations. River channel lengths were modified to account for these
adjustments.

2. Exhibit E shows that every table elevation agrees with its respective proftle elevation, except for
Cross Section BA. Cross Section BA has since been properly located on the profile. The variation
in the values show on the GIS coverage is caused by the situation that was mentioned in Item 1 of
"General Issues." The Gore Creek floodplain has been redelineated based on the GIS file referenced
in Item 1.

Street Names

All of the street name corrections have been incorporated into this Revised Preliminary FIRM. Please
note that the road base was provided by Eagle County Geographic Information Systems and road
modifications were not incorporated. An example of this request is visible on the annotated FIRM Panel
No. 0469 D. A cul-de-sac had been marked in red pencil for addition to Matterhorn Circle.
