The time differences of the 52 cases of new echo development in the overlapping region <br />between the two radars were determined. For each case, a time difference of when the <br />radars first detected the new echo was calculated. This was done by subtracting the time <br />the KMBX radar first detected an echo by the time the Stanley radar first detected the echo. <br />A positive time difference indicated that the KMBX radar detected the echo first, and a <br />negative time difference indicated that the Stanley radar detected a new echo before the <br />KMBX radar. The two radars did complete a scan at that the same time, therefore, any <br />time difference of 3 (-3) or less (more) was considered to have occurred at the same time. <br />After the time differences of all 52 cases were calculated, a mean time difference of the <br />cases was calculated. The mean time difference was used to determine if there was a time <br />difference of first echo detection between the radars. <br />13 <br />
