Advisory input from ERO <br />Resources was requested by the Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB), the non-Federal <br />sponsor of the Feasibility Report/EIS as well as the 15 water providing entities for which the <br />CWCB acts as coordinator. ERO Resources has been identified as having: 1) special expertise in <br />the environmental conditions existing in the South Platte basin; and 2) experience in providing <br />services, including coordinating with many entities to obtain a variety of typ~s of infonnation, to <br />sUBPo~i.deve?Qpmentof plans for mitigation of impacts to threatened,and endangered species. <br /> <br />. , , <br /> <br />This ietterprovides the general expectations fo'r the interactions anticipated to occur <br />between the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District (Corps) andERO Reso~rces <br />(including its contractors) asa special technical advisor during the preparation of the Feasibility <br />Report/EIS. The Corps may assign tasks, request information and data related to your <br />organization's area of expertise, invite help in identifying and quantifying significant resources, <br />request assistance in identifying impacts to resources and potential mitigation options to offset <br />significant impacts, and ask for your participation in other areas. The Corps may also request <br />early review of documents, including two week reviews of chapters as they are completed. So <br />that the Corps can focus on completing the Feasibility Report/EIS, it is to be understood that <br />documents receiving early review are works in progress and are not to be released outside your <br />organization or outside of the entities with whom you contract to perform any required tasks. <br /> <br />The Corps also requests that you provide a point of contact, and alternate point of contact if <br />desired, to represent ERO Resources for actions as a special technical advisor. Ms. Elizabeth <br />Peake will serve as the Corps contact for all items related to the National Environmental Policy <br />Act.
