RUNOFF ESTIMATES
Runoff estimates were obtained for various streams using indirect flow measurement techniques.
I
Channel cross-sections were obtained by using a hand level, survey rod, and a 100' tape. High
water marks were good to excellent in all locations. Normal depth calculations welre done using
Manning's equation. Channel slopes were obtained from USGS Quad maps, arid "n" values
were estimated in the field. A range of flow values is presented to account for various
uncertainties in estimating the peak flows.
