Agenda: Discuss the Water Availability Shtdy. Dave Merritt requested that CBRT <br />members to send him ~yritten colntnents regarding the WAS by August 10. <br />2. The CBRT non-consumptive needs assessment (NCNAj subcolmmittee will meet Monday <br />August 27 at 10:00 AM at the Ulemyood Springs Cotmnunit_v Recreation Center prior to the <br />reglllarl~~ scheduled monthly meeting. <br />b. The September CBRT meeting will include a presentation about the Fryingpan-Arkansas <br />project. and proposed bills to increase the storage capacity and diversions to the Arkansas <br />River basin. <br />~. Report from other Roundtables -None. <br />6. CWCB Report. John Redifer reported that the CWCB EZecutive Director resigned in June. <br />7. Jim Pokrandt appointed to the IBCC Public Liaison Committee. Jim Polcrandt. <br />Conununications and Education Director at the Colorado River Water Conservation District, ryas <br />nominated by Stan Lazier, and seconded b~-~ Lurline Curran. and unanimously approved by the <br />CBRT to represent the CBRT on the IBCC Public Liaison Committee. <br />8. Mike Wageck ~-as appointed to the IBCC Consumpti~-e Use Work Group. Current <br />members include Dick Proctor. Louis Meyer, Eric Kuln1, Ken Neubecker, and Lane Wyatt. <br />Bruce Hutchins nominated Mike Wageck, Tom Clark seconded, and the CBRT unanimously <br />approved his selection. <br />9. CBRT members on the IBCC NCNA subcommittee include Ken Neubecker, Rick Sackbauer. <br />Lane Wyatt, Mel Reddig, and Louis Meyer. All will continue their iiivohement. <br />10. Shoshone po~~er plant blo~~out. In June, one of the tvyo water pipes feeding ~yater into the <br />Shoshone po~yer plant just ~yest of Interstate 70 n~ptured. The electric s~yitch station was <br />flooded, and the extent of the damage is not kno~ti°n at this point. Colorado River flows through <br />Glen~yood Canyon have decreased. and to make up the decrease, the Bureau of Reclamation will <br />release more water from Ureen Mountain Reservoir.
