g. Phil Overeynder recommended that the NCNA consider flushing flows as well as base flows,
since flushing flows are an important component of a river's health.
h. Chuck Ogilby commented that it is very important to address the Colorado River between
Kremmling and Dotsero. There are conditional water rights claiming 200,000-300,000 acre
feet of the Upper Coloradq and these could decimate annual flows below Kremmling.
Therefore, it is very important that the NCNA address the impact that developing these
conditional water rights would have on this river stretch.
Ken Ransford asked why the Basin Roundtables were being asked to prioritize important
river stretches before the NCNA was completed. Eric Hecox replied that funding dictated
this.
CBRT members who are active in the NCNA committees include Lane Wyatt, Ken
Neubecker, Rick Sackbauer, and Mel Reddig.
k. The NCNA Steering commuttee includes:
Eric Hecox, CWCB
Jay Skinner, CDOW
Sure Morea, CDM
Melinda Kassen, Trout Unlimited
Tom Iseman, the Nature Conservancy
Lane Wyatt, NWCOG
Steve Glaser, High Country Citizens Alliance
Jacob Ornstein, the Water Shed Network
Bill Miller, an expert >ll water quantification analysis.
10.
