<br />00238'7 <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br />High snowpack accumulation in the Rocky Mountains in the winter of 1996-97 <br />increased the likelihood of high flows into Lake Powell, and discharge levels from Glen <br />Canyon Dam were increased to a constant 27,000 cfs in late February and March 1997 High <br />constant flows of24,000 predominated in March and April, and was maintained at nearly <br />constant flows of20.000 to 21,000 cfs from May through August.
