Members will be sought through an open, competitive RFP process, for <br />I <br /> <br />a three-year term, rene~able for one consecutive three-year term. AMWG members may provide <br />I <br /> <br />GCMRC with a mailuig list of individuals who should receive the RFP. Initial members of the SAB will <br />I <br />be appointed for stagg~red one-, two-, and three-year terms, to ensure continuity in membership on the <br />I <br /> <br />SAB. Members will b1e selected from among the applicants through the GCMRC peer-review process <br />I <br /> <br />using a panel of revieJers and explicit evaluation criteria contained in the RFP. Evaluation criteria shall <br /> <br />contain specific reqwLents developed by GCMRC and the TWG and approved by the AMWG. <br /> <br />Tbe AMWG will revil the recommendations of the peer-review process and recommend to the <br />I <br />Secretary members to be appointed to the SAB. The independence of the SAB will be assured by the <br />I <br />selection process, reqJiring them to sign the standard GCMRC conflict-of-interest statement and <br />I <br />providing them a fixeq term that they will serve.
