MODIFY *.DAT FILES

Before running the CRSSEZ.EXE program, the user should consider
what data in the *.DAT files should be changed for the purpose of
the run. The following are some suggestions for evaluating the
indicated purpose that require changes to the *.DAT fi.les.

Different Use Schedules and Entitlement Exchanges to be Charged
to States--Change use schedules in CONUSE.DAT.

Lower Basin Depletions on Tributaries--Change SYS.AH and SYS.BH
and not the use schedules to be charged to States in CONUSE.DAT

Mexican bypass--Change SYS.BH in CONUSE.DAT.
Phreatophyte Modifications--Change SYS.BH in CONUSE.DA.T.

Upper to Lower Basin Transfers--Change uses in CONUSE.DAT for
Upper and Lower Basin users, i.e., U.BASIN and L.BASIN, and
increase minimum objective release from Powell in the user
interface. Check state sums with a spreadsheet.

Unusual Hydrology--Change gains in HYDRO.DAT.

To run CRSSEZ.EXE the *.DAT files to be used must be in the
current directory. Type DIR *.DAT to list the OAT files
available. Type CRSSEZ to run the program and Screen 1 will
appear. Navigating through the input boxes and command buttons
can be done using a mouse or the Tab and Shift/Tab keys. After
editing data in a box, hit the Tab key to move to the next box.
The defaults for all settings are those currently recommended by
Reclamation to provide a projection with current foreseeable
conditions.
