No effort was made to <br />save processing time at the expense of engineer time. <br /> <br />A complete TR-20 routing for an average watershed can be processed <br />within 3-4 seconds on an IBM S370. However, the processing time and <br />the total cost is increased each time an error in input data has to be <br />searched out, corrected and the data returned to the computer. <br /> <br />2.4 INPUT DATA STRUCTURE <br /> <br />The input data for a TR-20 run consists of the following six general <br />statement types: job control, tabular data, Standard Control statements, <br />Executive Control statements, Modify Standard Control statements and <br />Intermediate Peaks statements. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />The job control statements are the JOB statement, the two TITLE statements, <br />the ENDATA statement, the ENDCMP statement and the ENDJOB statement. <br />The JOB and TITLE statements must appear first, second and third, <br />respectively, in a run and the ENDJOB statement must appear last. The <br />ENDATA statement separates the Standard Control and tabular data from <br />the Executive Control statements. The ENDCMP statement is used to <br />signify the end of a pass thru a watershed or a subwatershed thereby <br />allowing conditions to be changed by the user before further processing. <br /> <br />The tabular data, which follows the TITLE statements, can be subdivided <br />into the following: Structure Data, Stream Cross Section Data, Cumulative <br />Rainfall Data, and the Dimensionless Hydrograph Data. For example, <br />one of the operations in the program may require a hydrograph to be <br />routed through a specific structure. In order to perform this function <br />the computer will recall the Structure Data as the necessary input for <br />routing through the particular structure. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The Standard Control statements describe the hydrologic configuration <br />of the watershed. They prescribe the exact sequence in which hydrographs <br />are to be developed for subwatershed areas, routed through structures <br />and stream reaches and combined at tributary junctions and reach <br />
