On July 27 and 28, I made several phone calls to collect further details about the Hooding. <br />The following list summkizes the information collected as of this time. <br />I <br />. Heavy rains began falling in northwest Saguache County around 5pm Sunday <br />I <br />. A reported storm tot~l of 7.5" of rain fell in less than 2 hours. (The size of the storm is <br />unknown, and the location ofmax. rainfall is unknown at this time). <br />. I <br />. The affected creeks iwere Middle Creek and Jacks Creek (tributaries to Saguache Creek, <br />southeast of the Continental Divide). <br />I <br />. Highway 114 and some county roads were damaged or washed out in certain places <br />I <br />. Three homes were p~ssiblY damaged. One is confirmed and the other two are unconfirmed. <br /> <br />. Damages to agricultural fields and irrigation structures were sustained. <br />I <br />. Nobody was killed qr injured, evacuations were not required, and the Red Cross was not <br />activated as a result of this flood. <br />I <br />. All of the flooding a1(1d damages occurred in the county, but nothing reported in the town of <br />Saguache.
