' , <br /> <br />". . <br />Yampa River Trail, City of Steamlx?at Springs, Colorado, 1989 - 1991: Completed a master piau <br />fO.!Jhe Yampa River Corridor for'the City of Steamboat Springs. After the successful passage of <br />a $2 million bond initiati~e, Recreation Engineering & PlliDning was retained to design and <br />implement this major trailIconidor project. Completion of a Chy-wi~ master traiJ system plan <br />was also part of the overall project. Major portions of the Yampa River Trail were built in 1990 <br />with the remainder constructed in 1991. Also designed and supemsed construction of fish <br />ha~itat and boating improvements in the Yampa River, within the Cite. ' <br /> <br />Boulder Creek Whitewater Course, City"ofBOulder" i990: Obtained a gnuit from the Cite of <br />Boulder Parks Department to construct a whitewater kayak course on Boulder Creek. The , <br />project included reconstruction of a 1/4 mile section of the" Creek to create a series of small ~ps <br />and pools that allows boating at very low flows. The project also included construction of 25 <br />semi-permanent slalom gates. .~e course was built on schedule and is the .Iocation for many <br />m~jor whitewater events. <br /> <br />St. Vrain River Restoration, Town of Lyons, 1989-1990: Obtained a major grant to restore a <br />segment of the South St. V~ River, including stream habitat improvements, a pedestrian trail, <br />bridge, and pocket parks. . The project was completed on schedule and within budget and is <br />currently enjoyed by hundreds of people each year. <br /> <br />Two Forks River Park, Deckers, Colorado, 1989: Development of a major regional park withiD <br />the proposed Two Forks Reservoir area. Presen~ to many federal, State, and local a,gencies. <br /> <br />Clear Creek Master Plan, City of Golden, 1987: Master development plan for the two mile Clear <br />Creek Corridor as it passes through academic, residential, urban and industrial areas 'of ' <br />, downtown Golden.
