Regulatory Spill Discharge Estimates (cfs) From Fourmile Canyon Creek

Location

Using recent aerial photos and data obtained from the Geographic Information System
(GIS) of the City and County, hydrologic parameters in the models including
topographic, soils, and land use information were updated as required to reflect current
conditions for both Creeks. Flood peaks for the 500-year event were estimated using
frequency analysis.

The Catchments of the Wonderland Creek regulatory hydrologic model were modified to
better reflect flow conditions, and the stage/storage/discharge relationship for
Wonderland Lake in the regulatory model was revised to reflect the data shown in the
"as-constructed" drawings of the Lake on file with the State Engineer. These drawings
are presented in Appendix 4. The hydrologic analysis assumed Wonderland Lake was
full; meaning only inadvertent storage above the emergency spillway was used for flood
attenuation. The Catchments used in the Fourmile Canyon Creek regulatory hydrologic
model were not changed.

-8-
