There is a small segment of the study area that also falls in Boulder County's
jurisdiction and we have worked with Dave Webster, P.E., the Boulder County
Floodplain Administrator, for those reaches of the study and Dave has signed off on these
reaches on behalf of the County.

I have also attached to this letter is a copy of the letter addressed to you from Bob
Harberg, P.E. who is in charge (currently following Alan Taylor's departure from the
City) of floodplains for the City. Bob's letter fonnally requests the CWCB to designate
these two floodplains as recently approved by FEMA. We have requested Dave Webster
send you a similar letter as well which should come to you under separate cover. I have
advised Dave Webster that you need the letter no later than Monday, February 12th in
order for you to proceed with placing this item on the March Board Agenda.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to give me a call. Please let me know
when the floodplains have been designated. Will the City/County receive a copy of
anything from the CWCB following the meeting, making it official? If so, I'd also like to
have a copy of that document for our records, as the City's floodplain consultant.
