As the foundation becomes established, it should <br />have it's own website. Prior to developing a website, have a temporary site with <br />a neutral group that all stakeholders would accept (e.g. MAST website at the <br />University of North em Colorado) <br />-Set up a grant proposal process for pilot projects with specific criteria delineated at the <br />outset This should allow for new programs to be evaluated or to refine programs that <br />have been available for awhile. Criteria for Kindergarten - grade 12 should include <br />alignment with Colorado model content standards and having a variety of student <br />assessments. There should be a selection committee that consists of people who are <br />not water education providers. This needs to be an unbiased process for credibility. <br />-All funded projects should be evaluated by an outside evaluator who does not have a <br />stake in any of the projects. Projects should not be piloted until the evaluation process <br />is in place. <br />-Communicate with and meet as appropriate with education groups such as the Colorado <br />Science Education Network and the social studies coordinator group. <br />-Develop a system of coordinated media relations <br />-Present information and materials at events such as the Colorado State Fair and education <br />conventions (e.g. science, social studies). The Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />kiosk is an effective approach.
