(CCI), the Colorado Emergency Management Association (CEMA), the American Planning Association (APA), and the American Public Works Association (APW A) Through flood hazard reduction workshops, promote the use of a "hazardlwerlay" concept for GIS mapping using information developed by the Colorado Geological Survey (CGS) for Garfield County as a model. Promote public education on wildfire mitigation to reduce flood hazard potential in post-burn areas. Provide newsletter articles, other relevant information on flood hazard mitigation and other forms of information exchange to professional organizations and local governments.
