The lateral is located about 5 miles <br />northwest of Grand Junction. The lateral needs to be rehabilitated by placing the ditch in <br />pressurized plastic pipeline and constructing a new head gate on the GVIC canal. The new <br />pipeline will have a capacity of 5 cfs. The Appleton Northwest Lateral & Drainage Corporation is <br />a mutual ditch company and a nonprofit corporation registered in the state of Colorado. The <br />NRCS has completed preliminary plans and a cost estimate for the project and the Company <br />has completed the feasibility study. Proposed funding for the project consists of a CWCB Small <br />Project Loan for $100,000 and the remainder from the NRCS in the form of a grant under the <br />salinity program. <br /> <br /> <br />Location Map <br /> <br />5 <br />
